Welcome to Community Pharmacy Kent’s website

Community Pharmacy Kent represents all community pharmacy contractors in Kent, click here for an interactive map of these locations.

The LPC is an elected body recognised and configured under the NHS Act, set up to represent the interest of all local NHS Pharmacy Contractors. The committee includes representatives from 4 Independent Pharmacy Contractors, 4 Company Chemists Association (CCA) and 3 Association of Independent Multiples (AIMp) representatives.

The LPC is funded by a levy taken from each contractor in the Kent area. In turn, the LPC pays a levy to Community Pharmacy England (CPE) to cover administration and LPC support. The LPC is required to be consulted by the local commissioning board on contractual matters and on a wide range of issues relating to community pharmacy. The LPC is responsible for negotiating with the Local Area Team (LAT) regarding local enhanced services and other local arrangements.

We work to promote community pharmacy in Kent and to highlight areas to the local health community where pharmacy can help achieve local and national healthcare objectives. The LPC aims to help support community pharmacy, in collaboration with LATs to deliver local services. The LPC also communicates matters of local and national importance, which have implications for pharmacy within Kent.
