As we work towards achieving the national ambition to be paperless at point of care by 2020 and support our local Kent and Medway Digital health roadmap, we would like to encourage the collaboration between community pharmacies and GP practices to increase the uptake of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) and electronic Repeat Dispensing (eRD).
As initial engagement Ashford and Canterbury & Coastal CCGs will be hosting a pharmacy event on:
Wednesday 7th March 2018
Time: 19:00-21:00
A hot buffet will be available from 18:00
Venue: Conningbrook Hotel, Canterbury Road, Ashford, Kent
TN24 9QR
Key speakers will be Nicola Chapman, NHS Digital, and Lodi Lama, pharmacist representative from Kent Local Pharmaceutical Committee. The aim of this event is to provide an overview of EPS/eRD, dispel the myths associated with them and share ideas on how this campaign can be successful. It will be a good opportunity to discuss what works well with EPS/eRD, what possible barriers may be encountered and how all can work together to resolve them.
We would strongly urge as many members of the pharmacy teams to attend as possible as this will help dictate the success of this campaign.
NB. There will be a similar event organised in due course held in the Thanet/South Kent Coast location.
