Dartford Borough Council Private Sector Housing and Energy Efficiency Training
Pharmacy teams (especially those who have achieved or are working towards becoming a Healthy Living Champion) who are based at community pharmacies in the Dartford Borough Council area are invited to a FREE
2 hour training session at Dartford Borough Council Civic Centre Office, Home Gardens, DA1 1DR
on either of the dates below:
Thursday 11 January 10am til midday
Wednesday 17 January 10am til midday
The session will provide a background to the different services provided by the Council’s Private Sector Housing Team including:
Details about disabled facilities grants
Information about the Council’s Handyperson Service
Advice about energy efficiency measures and different funding available
CPD certificates will be provided along with a pack of information.
Signposting and onward referral are important roles of being a Healthy Living Champion/Pharmacy and this will give you a chance to find out what services are on offer, via your local Council, that your patients may need to access, provide an opportunity to make contacts with key people at the Council and also network with your colleagues who are also Healthy Living Champions based in Dartford .
As the landscape of commissioning changes under the Sustainability & Transformation Partnership (STP) the local Borough Councils are identifying the benefits of closer working with their community pharmacies and this is a part of a wider piece of work being carried out jointly between Public Health and the Kent Local Pharmaceutical Committee to facilitate this.
