Flu Vaccination Training

An Influenza Immunisation Training Day, Sunday 30th July 2017  at the Holiday Inn Maidstone-Sevenoaks.

Two sessions will be held, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. the morning session is now fully booked.

With the recent announcement that the NHS will be re-commissioning community pharmacies in England to provide an influenza immunisation service this year, you will need to review your accreditation and training to be able to deliver this service.  

We are informed that the specification and training requirements will be very similar to last years’ service.

Kent Local Pharmaceutical Committee is supporting you by offering face to face training plus on-line training to accredit you to deliver influenza immunisation. Practical training will be delivered in groups of 10 delegates to help you to manage CPR, anaphylaxis and adrenaline injection, injection technique and a theory overview. 

The certificate for face to face training lasts for 2 years, therefore if you attended the training and were accredited last year you are not required to do it again this year.  Online training should be completed every year. 

PLEASE NOTE: 

Your training will not be funded by the LPC, however the venue and refreshments will be. 

The training company ‘Avicenna’ will contact you directly to take payment using the details you provide at registration.

The cost will be £89 + VAT for face to face training and £20 + VAT for online training.

If you work for a large company please confirm your arrangements with your line manager.

Outline Agenda for the day:

Arrival and tea/ coffee and pastries                       8.00am

Morning training session                                        8.30 am -1.00pm.

Afternoon training session                                     2.00pm-6.30 pm

A finger buffet lunch will be available from 1.00pm to 2.00 pm for attendees.
