West Kent CCG Pharmacy Staff Meeting

Dear colleagues,

You are invited to an update meeting to discuss plans and developments affecting community pharmacies in the West Kent CCG area.

The meeting will be held at The Holiday Inn Maidstone (TN15 7RS)

Refreshments will be available from 7 pm and the meeting will commence at 7.30 pm and finish at 9.00pm. Pharmacists, pre-registration students are encouraged to attend and please bring a member of staff that deals with common ailments, where possible.

Agenda.

• Care Navigation (a Sustainable Transformation Programme and CCG initiative, directly affecting community pharmacy)
• Increase in payments for the Pharmacy First Common Ailment Scheme

• The launch of a new enhanced service involving specials
• Q&A session

This meeting coincides with the training of all practice managers and receptionists in West Kent area as Care Navigators. This can have significant opportunities for your pharmacy. Please try to ensure that your pharmacy is represented at this meeting.

The speaker, Barrie Smith is a Kent LPC member and also the community pharmacist representative on the West Kent CCG Medicine Optimisation Group.
